MARBLE BEACH




Sri Lanka is a beautiful island, so there are ample beaches. This country, because of its natural beauty,  most tourists visit here to spend their vacations and holidays in those beachside resorts. When they choose this kind of resort to stay in, they give a pleasant experience rather than giving in those luxury hotels. Some famous beaches in Sri Lanka, such as Arugam bay beach, Bentota Beach, Mirissa Beach, Nilaveli Beach, Uppuveli Beach, and so on. Each and every beach has specific features according to its location, region of the country, size and maintenance, etc. Similarly to other districts in Sri Lanka, Trincomalee has the best beaches like Nlaveli Beach, Trincomalee Beach, Uppuveli Beach, Marble Beach, etc.

Comparing those beaches in Trincomalee, Marble beach has some unique elements. Therefore this beach stands out as one of the best beaches in Trincomalee and the rest of the country as well. Marble beach is about a 15km ride from Trincomalee city and 2.8km from Kinniya Bridge. To reach this place, you will see some natural sceneries and the roads are moderate levels and their number of speed breakers to reduce the speed of the vehicles and to protect from accidents.

Further, the roads are very narrow and sloppy, because of the nature of the locality. Then there are some residents at the starting point of the journey from Kinniya Bridge passing through this way, there are small forest and sea areas on both sides of the way. Before you enter the beach, there is a signboard to navigate a resort in the midway. This resort is recommended by several visitors for its staff services, peaceful ambiance, especially the taste, of the food and so on. I will write about this resort in a separate post in future detail.

 




Once you reach the beach entrance, you have to the entrance ticket for both individuals and parking for your vehicles. The fee is significantly less compared with other places. There is a vast parking area just before the beach. Before entering the beach, you will see the name of the beach, which is written on the stone; on the other side, there is an inscription that describes the establishment date, which opened this beach, etc. Just a couple of steps to the beach you will see some outstanding visuals and you can't even see the sea properly because the beach's location is like that.

I would say, from the entrance of the beach until you reach the beach spot, you will have so much excitement and thrill because you cannot experience the exact beach mood in the meantime.


Some specific features of this beach

The beach's specific features include the water being very clean compared with other beaches. Therefore, you can see some underwater visuals through your naked eye while standing in the sea. Then the location of the beach is situated between the small mountains, which gives a more pleasant view to the visitors. On the other hand, the front side of the beach is situated by some trees, which adds a greenish look to the beach and viewers. Then there is a lounge in the corner of the beach and you can get some snacks and soft drinks, but the prices are slightly higher than the outside. Next, there is a lifeguard and first aid spot to protect the visitors from several accidents in the water area and on other sides of the beach. There are no safety-related hesitations about coming to this beach because the Air Force team always keeps an eye on you, and you can swim within a specific limit, and when you cross this mark, the Air Force team will instruct and guide you to stay within the safe zone.

So, the visitors always have huge support from the Force side. Therefore, the people come with their children and even elders. Another important feature is a separate place like a washroom set up for both men and women to change their clothes before you leave the beach. Recently, a place was allocated for the kids to play on the beachside. A number of families come here to spend their evening time at this place with their kids, like a park. Then there are some benches for the foreign visitors to have sun baths. It will be a pure delight for beach lovers.

Finally, I would say this is one of the most beautiful and tedious beaches in Srilanka. Because the Air Forces team maintains this beach and keeps this beach clean and neat too. All the Air Force staffs are keener on the visitor's safety and the place's neatness. In Srilanka's tourism industry, this kind of beach plays a key role. I assure you that the tourist or visitors who come to the Trincomalee district will have a great time visiting marble beach and Marble beach resort. You cannot avoid Kinniya Bridge and Marble beach when you come to the Trincomalee for any purpose.
