Firstly, to book an appointment for the test, contact Tel: 0112031700 or email uktbappointmentssl@iom.int. During peak times (such as September), the wait time for booking by phone can be around an hour. For those needing their TB test results urgently, try to book at least one month or three weeks in advance to ensure a place. Note that places can get filled very quickly due to the high volume of applications. The IOM address is 42 1, 7 Horton Pl, Colombo 00700, Sri Lanka.
What are the documents you should bring to the TB test?
Once you have booked an appointment for your TB test, they will provide you with a date and information on which documents to bring. These include your original passport, approximately 30000rps to cover the cost of the test ( though this may vary), 2 passport-sized photos on a white background, and a photocopy of the biographical page of your passport.

What are the procedures for the TB test?
When you attain this location for the TB test, they will check your documents and position a token numbered band on your hand, after that, they will call you inside the room and check the documents and take the photographs. Then you need to flow with TB test payment to the cashier counter inside the same room; after that, you ought to circulate to every other room and wait to name your token number on the led screen, or you can ask from the information desk. Then you will be consulted by a doctor and move to the x-ray unit. Change the dress for the x-ray, and once done with the x-ray, you have to wait in the waiting room for 1 to 2 hours to collect your TB test result. Next, they will give you a TB test result sheet, and you should go with that towards the reception counter with one photo they will stamp on the TB test result sheet, then you have to sign on the certificate, and then you can take TB test result and leave from the place.
Going through the TB test can be long, so it's important to be prepared. Fuel up with a good meal before going to the test, and bring some snacks as there is no canteen. There is a TV for entertainment, but the wait could be hard so it's best to stay patient. It may be a good idea not to bring young children who are not applicants as this might add to the difficulty of managing things in the TB test environment. I am not sure how it works for Australia, but I believe it is probably similar to that for the UK. If anyone has had experience with an Australian medical test, please share it in the comments section as this would prove useful for future participants.
